UNISON 2000
UniCONN unified messaging services are implemented on the UNISON 2000 product line. The UNISON is a flexible and robust system running on the highly popular LINUX operating system. It uses standard, industrial grade, Intel based PC as the system hardware, taking advantage of the innovative development and economy of scale of the PC technology. The typical system configuration includes RAID disk and power supply redundancy. The UNISON system uses advanced voice processing boards from Dialogic Corporation and other manufacturers for interfacing to the telephone network. Due to its fully distributed architecture, multiple UNISON units can be combined to form a large system, supporting virtually unlimited number of users, thus offering a high degree of scalability. The distributed architecture also enables support of system redundancy and user data archiving in a cost effective way.
